Dive and help educate children about the ocean with Imaging Foundation
Join Jay Ireland and Georgienne Bradley and the Imaging Foundation team as we use still and video cameras to document the reefs by day and engage in lively conversation by night. 
The Imaging Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to image based natural history education. Our Fiji Expedition will be hosted by world-renowned underwater photographers and videographers Jay Ireland and Georgienne Bradley. We will be shooting the healthy reefs, animals and eco-system of Fiji so it stands as witness and proof that it can happen in certain parts of the world and other countries should follow suit.
Join our team to develop a virtual classroom series illuminating a day in the life of a coral reef. Dive, dive, dive and learn from your experience, your guides and reference materials, then pitch in with pictures, energy and ideas to teach kids thousands of miles away. If you are a photographer, great! If you are not, great too! Everyone is needed to help build this educational tool.
By becoming part of the project and the team, you feel yourself becoming a part of the legacy of the islands. As you read and explore our project information, you realize you are becoming engaged and part of our oceans' present and future.
Imaging Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to image based natural history education. Each project has a specific focus. In Fiji we will develop curriculum for three of the following for topics
- Coral, is it a plant or an animal?
- What is El Nino? How does it affect coral and animals?
- An Archipelago - What defines this land formation?
- Nocturnal hunting and behavior
While no prior experience is required to become an Imaging Foundation volunteer, our volunteers need to be adaptable, energetic, and be willing to work as part of an expedition team. Volunteers become vital team members in the development of fresh, new, cutting edge classroom uploads. Employing the Internet and pod casting, Imaging Foundation teams are reaching kids in novel, innovative ways. Who taught you about the ocean? Isn’t it time you gave back? Imaging Foundation is a 501 (c ) 3 nonprofit organization. Participants are able to declare their payments as a tax-deduction. Of course, each volunteer must consult with their tax professional to insure that their situation allows this deduction.
